This coming Sunday, may 12th is Mother’s Day. It is a day set aside to ensure that we can acknowledge as well as honor all pawrents for the function they have in providing life as well as nurturing the young, as the cycle of birth – growth – death has repeated for generations because time began. We always believe of it in the context of our own pawrents, own kids as well as our own relatives; however, there are some pawrents that are different as well as special beings: foster pawrents. Unrelated by blood, yet the connection between the Fosters as well as those they have fostered is just as golden. There is a poem published on the southern California Pomeranian Rescue site [Tear Jerker Alert: get tissue box now]:
A poem TO MY FOSTER DOG
By Diane Morgan
I am the bridge,
Between what was as well as what can be.
I am the pathway to a new life.
I am made from mush,
Because my heart melted when I saw you,
Matted as well as sore, limping, depressed
Lonely, unwanted, scared to love.
For one bit time you are mine.
I will feed you with my own hand.
I will like you with my whole heart.
I will make you whole.
I am made from steel.
Because when the time comes,
When you are well, as well as sleek,
when your eyes shine,
And your tail wags with joy
Then comes the difficult part.
I will let you go-not without a tear,
But without a regret.
For you are risk-free forever–
A new canine needs me now.
This is my special “Thank You” to all the Foster Mommies as well as Daddies available who have taken in a homeless pup to foster. You have provided life by prolonging one that was almost extinguished since there was no house for it. You have nurtured life by taking in one that was almost lost as well as provided it space to run as well as play. You have provided in an immeasurable way, shared burdens that cannot be weighed as well as experienced joys that cannot be described. There have been battles with health and wellness problems, some lost as well as some won. Without you, the foster pawrent, there would not be as numerous lives saved as well as now living in pleased homes.
This I know: There is a gorgeous location in heaven for Foster Parents.
Liefde,
Bella
